The Sondex S47 plate is a direct replacement heat transfer plate for S47, S47 IG and S47-IG10 frame models. Same dimensions as the originals, goes in without modification — straightforward if you’re doing a scheduled service or working through a refurbishment.

The S47 has a decent footprint across industries , HVAC, industrial process cooling, district heating, marine and food processing all come up regularly. Where it tends to stand out is in hygienic processing: milk, juice, brewery and similar applications where the plate geometry suits CIP cleaning cycles and the surface finish meets food-grade requirements. If that’s your application, it’s worth specifying the right gasket material alongside the plates , NBR and EPDM are the usual options depending on your media and temperature range.
